I meant to queue up the email below for automatic sending Mon Sept 5, 
since I'll be recovering from that desert festival and might forget 
to remind people. I don't know what excuse I have for clicking the 
immediate send button this time. So, disregard that message until the 
first week of September. (Car Free happy Hour is always the first 
Wednesday of the month.) 	It's always after workish, let's say, 
5:30 on...

It's the first Wednesday of the month this Wednesday, and I hope you 
can come. I think an interesting topic of conversation will be the 
impending opening of the Central Freeway and Octavia Blvd.

Funny how our city leaders are celebrating the "opening" of a 
facility that is only partially finished: ready for car traffic but 
the bike path connection between Valencia and Octavia is still on the 
drawing boards. What does it say about the priorities of our city's 
agency heads that the bike connection isn't built?
