This is a reminder about next month's Car-Free Happy Hour, the first
Wednesday-of-the-month gathering for transportation justice
activists at Zeitgeist. Join me anytime after 5:30 p.m. this
Wednesday, rain or shine. Thanks to the voters of the instant poll at
last month's event that changed the name from "alternative
transportation happy hour" to "car-free happy hour."

I'm also taking this opportunity to subscribe you to a new mailing
list, "carfreeliving." This mailing list,
carfreeliving at livablecity.org, is the product of an ongoing
conversation at TLC about the need for an online discussion group for
TLC's broad transportation reform agenda. I hope that it fills an
important niche among those of us who communicate regularly online to
foster a community of activists that will support, inform, and
energize the transportation reform movement, across all modes and
including land use and economics.

I put you on this list because you asked to hear about the next
car-free happy hour, or because I know you would want to know about
it. Beyond this invitation, I expect this list will get very few
posts, at least to start. Please post, but do so judiciously. This is
an unmoderated list. I'll manage the list using "Mailman" software
which is part of TLC's internet service. It will be commercial-free,
paid for by TLC's donors.

the links below.

This is an experiment. If it doesn't prove useful I'll cancel it. I
will always need feedback, but especially in the beginning.

Be well,

Dave
