Town Hall meeting on sustainable transit? We could arrange the panel of
experts and Dept Heads and the Mayor and have the public ask questions
and voice frustrations.... Of course, the Mayor would have to be there,
and be there the entire time.

Subject: [Carfreeliving] Mayor Newsom

Hi all,

I think we're all feeling about the same thing. Leah's article in the
Tube Times also expressed some frustration at the status quo and lack of
progress.

I, too, have been thinking that our collective connections with the
Mayor aren't nearly as strong as they could and should be. Perhaps we
could ask for a joint meeting with the mayor to talk about *our vision*
and how that differs from what is currently happening (and not
happening). There are lots of things to suggest that he'd be open to
pushing his bureauocracy to becoming more transit-first. Maybe we
haven't given him enough contact/feedback yet?

What do you all think?

Thanks,
Emily
