LIVABLE CITY SOIREE FOR MARSHALL FOSTER, DIRECTOR OF URBAN GREENING

Transportation for a Livable City hosts another in its series of
evening gatherings on urban living September 27. The featured guest
speaker is the Mayor's newly appointed Director of City Greening,
Marshall Foster.  Mr. Foster's new job is to envision and help
implement a coordinated effort to create more complete streets,
delightful for pedestrians, vital with plants and trees and flowers,
and comfortable and safe for all users. Come enjoy wine, cheese, and
great conversation about what it will take to make a more livable San
Francisco, and how Marshall Foster of the Office of Mayor Newsom can
help! Tuesday, Sept. 27, 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Remarks at 7:00 p.m. Free
for TLC Members. Others will be asked make a sliding-scale donation
to TLC, although nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.


VALENCIA STREET PLANNING MEETING
Wednesday, September 28

Mission Police Station, Community Room
corner 17th and Valencia streets

The Municipal Transportation Agency is hosting their fourth meeting  
to plan pedestrian safety improvements to Valencia Street. Project  
Manager Kevin Keck will present a preliminary design for Valencia  
Street for public review at the meeting.
