[TLC News & Alerts] Victory at the Planning commission!

Thanks to all of the support from TLC members, the planning  
commission approved the staff recommendation for the downtown housing  
reform legislation by a vote of 4-1, with some minor adjustments. As  
I mentioned before, Planning Department staff had recommended that  
most of Supervisor Daly's legislation be accepted, the major  
exception being that planning staff recommended a maximum parking  
ratio of 3 spaces for every four units, rather than the 1 space for  
every 2 units originally proposed. From here the legislation goes to  
the Board of Supervisors. I'll send a longer update soon. Thanks  
again to the TLC members who came out tonight and who sent letters in  
support-- this couldn't have happened without you.
