Juneteenth Parade and Festival returns to San Francisco

San Francisco’s second-annual Juneenth Parade and Festival returns on Saturday, June 8th 2024. This year’s parade, presented by Dream Keeper Initiative and the City of San Francisco in partnership with Livable City and others, promises to be a vibrant celebration of freedom, unity, and community resilience, commemorating the historical significance of Juneteenth.

The Juneteenth Parade begins on Market and Spear streets at 11am, ending at United Nations Plaza. It features captivating floats representing various community organizations, schools, and corporate partners. Led by dignitaries and community leaders, the parade will traverse through the heart of San Francisco, symbolizing the journey toward equity and justice for all.

The Juneteenth Festival follows the parade, from noon until 6 pm at Fulton Plaza (Fulton between Larkin and Hyde streets). Highlighting the festivities will be a stellar performance by acclaimed artist Larry June, headlining the musical lineup for the event, which also includes soul singer Goapele, poet and activist Tongo Eisen-Martin, rapper Stunnaman02, and the soulful harmonies SF Jazz Ambassadors.

Both events are free and open to the public. You can RSVP here for updates and a calendar invitation. Before you go check the Juneteenth Bag Policy and list of Prohibited items.
