Becoming A Volunteer
- All ages are welcome,
- Under 18 — parent/guardian must sign waiver.
- Under 16 — must be accompanied by an adult
- Avg. shifts are 3-4 hours
Our San Francisco’s Open Streets program transforms miles of city streets into car-free community spaces for kids to play, seniors to stroll, businesses and organizations to connect, and neighbors to meet.
Our Advocacy Campaigns focus on creating neighborhood sustainability and minimizing the city bureaucracy with the goal of making it easier for neighbors to activate their streets for prosperity, joy and connection.

Volunteering is Easy!
All event-day volunteers are required to attend a virtual orientation before their first shift, even if they have attended an orientation in previous seasons. All volunteers will also receive a 15 minute orientation and review the safety protocols at the start of their shift.
